I’m a designer and multi-disciplinary artist who graduated from the Minneapolis College of Art & Design (MCAD) with a Bachelor of Science in Visualization- A degree that combines Art & Business. After I graduated in 2010, I’ve been running my own freelance business in design and media management for a versatile range of clients. My services also include design, social content strategy and management, branding, usability, website maintenance, copywriting, budgeting, data analysis, and illustration.
Much of my experience is collaboration and experience driven. In the past, I co-operated Tarnish&Gold a female-run community art gallery and event space in Minneapolis from 2010-2011, was a screenprinting/printmaking intern at both LandLand and Highpoint Center for Printmaking, ran the Minneapolis Underground Film Festival in 2010, and was the president of Green Club – a sustainability initiative for Minneapolis College of Art & Design students. For the past 6 years, I’ve been a teacher, exhibiting artist, and collective member with Living Proof Print Collective. I’ve had the great honor of serving three times as a panelist for The Minnesota State Arts Board Artist Initiative Grant, curating pop up galleries at local businesses like The Nomad World Pub and Pizza Luce, and have been a reoccurring contributor to MPR’s Arthounds.
My genuine love for Pizza and community gathering led to the founding of MPLS PIZZA CLUB. Pizza Club is a meet-up group for pizza enthusiasts, which is active both online and in the real world with regular pizza reviews and parties, the largest of which is an annual overnight summer camp for pizza-loving adults called Pizza Camp, which I founded with Culture Maker™ Chris Cloud in 2014 and is made possible with our ongoing collaboration with Grown-up Club. In 2016 we held 7 consecutive pizza parties for the first ever MPLS Pizza Week as part of my ongoing partnership with Fulton Beer. Pizza Camp returns in 2018 for it’s 5th and final pizza-lovers retreat.
My work and various projects have been featured in various media and galleries such as Vice Munchies, Food & Wine, AOL, The Huffington Post, The Young Turks, Vice, Bustle, Soo Vac Visual Arts, Paste Magazine, The StarTribune, Vita.MN, CityPages, MPLS.tv, l’etoile, Minnesota Monthly, PMQ Pizza Magazine, MPLS Zine, The Walker Art Center, MN Artists, Gamut Gallery, Bravo TV, Delish, Art World, & Refinery 29.
When I’m not making art or trying new pizzas, I enjoy exploring and spending time outdoors, devouring books and movies, listening to podcasts, and hanging with my pets.
If you’d like to collaborate, hire me, request more information, purchase work, or request a commission – don’t be shy! I’m always looking for new people to collaborate and work with. Please send all inquiries to Paige at firstname.lastname@example.org.
